CONDITIONS OF CHARTER AND SAILING ACTIVITIES

Catsup Sailing Experience operates from Saratoga, NSW, providing hands-on sailing adventures on Brisbane Water aboard Catsup, a Grainger Raider 309 catamaran. Safety and professionalism are our highest priorities, and all guests are required to follow the directions of the skipper and comply with all relevant maritime regulations.

By booking a session with Catsup Sailing Experience, you acknowledge and accept the following terms and conditions:

BOOKINGS & PAYMENTS

  • Bookings are not confirmed until full payment has been received.

  • Fees may change prior to confirmation without notice.

  • Accepted payment methods: major credit cards (excluding American Express) and EFT by prior arrangement.

PRICING

  • $900.00 + GST per session (flat rate, regardless of guest numbers).

  • $450.00 + GST per hour for boat and skipper hire (minimum 2 hours).

  • Custom packages available by request.

SESSION TIMES

  • Operating November through April.

  • Two sessions daily:

    • 11:00am – 1:00pm

    • 3:00pm – 5:00pm

  • Maximum of 6 guests per session.

  • Guests must be aged 12 or over. Guests under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

SAFETY & AMENITIES

  • Life jackets and gloves are provided and must be worn when instructed by the skipper.

  • Bottled water, hand sanitiser, and toilet facilities are available on board.

  • Strict no alcohol policy applies while sailing.

  • Smoking is not permitted below deck.

WEATHER POLICY

  • Your safety is our priority. The skipper has final authority on whether a sailing session can proceed.

  • If conditions are unsuitable, your booking will be rescheduled to a mutually convenient time.

  • No refunds are available for weather-related postponements.

CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

  • Customer date changes within 30 days of charter: $300 fee.

  • Customer date changes within 14 days of charter: $600 fee.

  • All charters must be taken within 24 months of the original booking date, otherwise the booking will expire.

  • Refunds are not available for cancellations, date changes, or weather postponements.

RESPONSIBILITY & BEHAVIOUR

  • All guests must follow the instructions of the skipper at all times.

  • Unsafe or disruptive behaviour may result in the immediate termination of the session, without refund.

  • The skipper remains in command of the vessel at all times.

INSURANCE & LIABILITY

  • Catsup Sailing Experience maintains appropriate insurance for the vessel and activities.

  • Guests acknowledge that sailing carries inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, seasickness, and the natural unpredictability of weather and water conditions.

  • By participating, you agree to release and indemnify Catsup Sailing Experience, its skipper, and staff from any claims for loss, damage, injury, or death, except where required by law.

WAIVER & ASSUMPTION OF RISK

By booking and participating in a sailing activity with Catsup Sailing Experience, you understand and accept the risks involved in sailing. While all reasonable safety measures are taken, you assume full responsibility for your participation and agree not to hold Catsup Sailing Experience, its skipper, or staff liable for any accident, injury, property loss, or other damages arising from the activity.
